I woke up thinking abt her....
Once again, another post dedicated to her. The last one was last year i think.
Yesterday went to visit Angeline and her baby gal and her mum was there too. Auntie specially fly down from China to take care of her and Fayth. She was very concern abt Angeline. Was always busy making sure her daugther has enuff rest, eat and drink well, is comfy and not in pain.
When i saw that, i was very touched by her mum's every action. A little envy i must say... haha. Becos this will only come from the mother herself and no one else... not even the mother in law or at times, the hubby. Ops. haha..
Actually, in the beginning of my pregnancy, i yearn for such care and concern and guidance but, i know that i will never get. That no matter how caring and concern others are to me, it will never be the same as your own mother's love. In fact, in the beginning, i was very lost, i didnt know what to eat, what not to take, wat to avoid, etc... None to guide, not even my father.
During that time, i missed her terrribly. Altho heard that PIL kept asking if i was doing fine then, but it was still very different.
Throut the preggy journey, i will miss her here and there... hoping that she can be here to guide me and care abt me... some times, i cant sleep, cos i was thinking abt her... some time i will wake up, and think of those times where she buy bf for me, nag at me, wash clothes for me, etc...
Even if i share this with ppl, they will only listen and not really understand how i feel, not even MK, let alone frens.
During my ML, many times i wanted to go down to her tablet in Bedok Temple and let know her that i am going to deliver soon and that if she is still alive, she will become a grandmother soon too.... but i do not believe in talking to the dead. I can only hold her deep down in my heart and memories. Sometimes i really wanna tell her many many things, but i know i cant do it.
I wanna tell her all the good and bad things that i was going thru as a preggy woman. The morning sickness, the cramps, the pains here and there, and many many more... Cos i know she will understand. i know tt she will guide me and advice me to do this and not to do that if she is still alive.
I know that there is always a reason for things to happen to ppl. There is surely a reason why she left us that early. If she is still here, she will be 60 next yr..Wow...
Even as i am going to deliver anytime, i will very often think of her and how i wish that she can be there with me, to experience the joy of becoming a grandmother.
I felt this way too on my wedding day.
So... i woke up today, thinking of her, and i miss her.

"It is FINISHED!"
Yes, it is finished!
One of the goals for 2009 is.... not to get pregnant, oh, but somehow, she just came along the way... haha... she is such a gift from God, really. :)
Anw, was saying that one of my goals in 2009 is to complete a professional make up course, and reason is simple... i love make up (ppl who know me a little more will AGREE to that!) and i would like to transfer my love into a service for people. I always wonder in amazement of how a simple looking girl can be transformed into someone that make heads turn!
In modern days like this, there is no one ugly girl ard, all thanks to the wonders of Make Up! It really work wonders... :) So, here i am, finished the entire course b4 i go deliver, yay! I am excited for my first assignment, keke...
And, i would like to especially thank 1 person. If not for this person, i would have already quited the course halfway LONG TIME AGO... So, thank you MINGKUN, my hubby who has always been standing by me all these while...
Many people dont that it wasn't easy for someone pregnant to keep attending classes, esp when i was fell quite sick twice, and had to keep changing class time and days. It wasnt easy for me financially too. Many times i wanted to quit mainly due to finances, but even as i was abt to do that, he encouraged me again and again. He provided encouragments, lotsa love and even finances when the going gets financially tough! Many ppl dont really know, but MK is the ONE that really see me thru the entire course. I thank God for him. Love him lots!
Ps: If you or your frens need make up artist, look for me ya! hahah!

After 1yr and 8 mths...
HEARTBURN!
Ok, maybe i should have blog abt the above titled at 4am last nite, so as to show the seriousness of it... Now at 38 wks and 5 days of gestation, i have been going thru many different 'sufferings' that a typical preggy woman at her very last 2 wks would face.
Besides the clumsy movements, pain at pelvic area (increasingly sore feeling), sudden BIG appetite (that even i myself am amazed!), increase in wgt (hopefully all go to baby! :P), hot flashes, frequent sweating and feeling sticky all day long (even sit there also feel HOT :( ), there is this thingy call the HEARTBURN & I dont like it AT ALL. :I
Meaning of Heartburn (during pregnancy): - from Babycenter.com
"Heartburn (also called acid indigestion or acid reflux) is a burning sensation that often extends from the bottom of the breastbone to the lower throat. It's caused by some of the hormonal and physical changes in your body.
During pregnancy, the placenta produces the hormone progesterone, which relaxes the smooth muscles of the uterus. This hormone also relaxes the valve that separates the esophagus from the stomach, allowing gastric acids to seep back up, which causes that unpleasant burning sensation.
Progesterone also slows down the wavelike contractions of your esophagus and intestines, making digestion sluggish. Later in pregnancy, your growing baby crowds your abdominal cavity, pushing the stomach acids back up into the esophagus.
Many women start experiencing heartburn and other gastrointestinal discomforts in the second half of pregnancy. Unfortunately, it usually comes and goes UNTIL YOUR BABY IS BORN."
Gosh, it says until my baby is BORN...
Acty, i have not been sleeping well for the past few days and its mainly due to this. Maybe its also becos i do nothing much during daytime and thus during the nite time, i am not tired enuff to remain asleep whenever heartburn attack. I mean if you are dead tired, dont mentioned heartburn, i think even fire also wont wake you up! haha...
Last Nite:
Abt 12am - 1.45am : Managed to fall asleep
1.45am - 2.50am : Woke up cos of hot flashes. I was sweating under my thick blanket and with air con on at 19 deg and 3 out of 4 bar. Rightfully, its suppose to be COLD one, but i woke up cos i was sweating... Couldnt sleep after that becos of heartburn.
2.50am - 4.45am : So i decided to surf the net. Can you imagine surfing net at such wee hours? The whole SG is like zzzz and there i was, surfing the internet. duh... I goggles "heartburn" and read thru some remedies of it.
4.45am - (i think) near 6am : Decide to go back sleep at 4.45am, thinking that "hey this time i am tired liaoz, surely i can sleep.." I also tot that by this time, my heartburn problem should more of less go off liaoz... keke... Happily go zzzz...
BUT i toss and turn from 4.45 - near 6am (i think shld be 6am, cos i could see there was a little light from outside (Breaking dawn) and heard birds chirping (gosh, even birds also woke up liaoz and i am still not alseep??)...
6am - 11.20am : Finally, i fell asleep (but woke up at every hour...8am, 9am, 10plus am) zzzzz.....
So can you imagine?? I had Heartburn from like 11plus pm til near 6am! Mr Heartburn really beri hardworking ah, work from 11pm - 6am! Like night shift factory production worker!! *faint*
Now i am quite worried that its bedtime, just in case Mr Heartburn come and look for me! hahah...
Anw, some ways to decrease Heartburns: (by Babycenter.com)
• Avoid food and beverages that trigger your heartburn. The usual suspects are carbonated drinks; alcohol (which you should avoid anyway during pregnancy); caffeine; chocolate; acidic foods like citrus fruits and juices, tomatoes, mustard, and vinegar; mint products; processed meats; and spicy, highly seasoned, fried, or fatty foods.
• Eat small, frequent meals and chew your food slowly and thoroughly. Give yourself two or three hours to digest before going to bed or lying down.
• Sleep with extra pillows under your chest and head. Elevating your upper body will help keep your stomach acids where they belong. You could also try sleeping semi-upright in a comfy recliner.
• Choose clothing and sleepwear that are loose around your abdomen and waist.
And i dont know why, but it seems to strike more at night! Esp when i am preparing to sleep...
I hope i can sleep well from tonite onwards. *CONFESS!* Amen... :)

初次见面
30th Oct (Friday) : 初次见面
I thought we will only see her on her birthday, but thank God for technology, we managed to catch a glimpse of her today.
One of those things that i have been praying to God abt is that she will be pleasant-looking and presentable and i think God is good. 初次见面 and i think she look quite cute (to me la).
After the check up, i asked MK "Who do you think she look like more?"
MK said with a smile : " You."
Well, i do pray that she will have my looks but his inner character (good ones of cos!) and intelligence.
So, 初次见面, I can only say "Hi my baby girl, God loves you and as your parents, we will give you the best, like how Abba Father has given us. All will be well with your soul. "
:)

Wish List for Baby! - UPDATES
Some of my frens asked me what are the things that I need for the baby. Seriously speaking, i have never really thought abt it, until she told me to come up with a Wish List so that they know what to get. But hor, the things that i really need, are really very expensive. No joke one, most of them at least 3 figure one leh... Wow, baby stuff are really EX man. Ha.
But still, i will post it up here for reference and info la... :)
Item #1 - Newbury Cot (Near $400) - I love white cots! so heavenly.. haha..
Update : We finally bought our cot! In fact, its a cot bed that can allow the kid to sleep til 4 yrs plus! Free mattress and Winnie the Pooh bedsheet set. Yay!
Item #3 - Philips AVENT Complete Express electric steam steriliser (Hm, not very sure of the price, but think it shld be abt less than $200). Heard MK's cg will get for us, but still not cfm cfm bah i guess.. *pray*...
Update : W215 getting! :) oh, some of them getting Babybjorn Baby Carrier too. Its really not cheap, but think this cg is just so nice and generous! Thanks thanks.... Item #4 - Medela mini electric breast pump (also less than $200). We might be getting a 2nd hand one from a fren's sister. But then again, not sure too.....
Update : Thanks Joelle! Really appreciate her. :)
Item #5 - Please Look After Me bath set (this is the cheapest! haha - abt $100 or slightly a little over $100). Sweet right? kekek...

A Year of changes and TransistionS
Yes, truly indeed it is... Be it in area of my job, ministry or even my own life, many many things have been happening in 2009.
Job
First half of the year was fine.. comfy with what i have been doing and in fact enjoying my workscope, until.... ex mgr decided to leave the org, then changes start. We always say that changes are good for us and where ever you go, there will always be changes.. They are the only constant thing in life. So she left and new one took over. Most of us are trying to cope and adapt to the new leading style.
More cubicles mean more ppl in the same office... so i guess no more peace like before. I regret that i didnt treasure those 'peaceful times'. HEE. But well, i guess we can only get ourselves to adapt to the new changes. So, Shine, stop complaining ya....
I thank God...
that at least i still have a job thruout the recession period.. that at least there was no retrenchment in my org (phew!). I thank God that He really gave me a dept of colleagues that are really nice ppl to work with.... that He gave me a good mgr..who has now become my ex-mgr.. :)... that i really enjoyed my workscope! So i thank God still!
Personal Life
Well, what else? Me found out that i was preggy on Easter weekend lo. haha.. Surprised and happy we may be, still there were some uncertainties. Uncertain whether financially can we cope, uncertain whether we can be good parents, uncertain of the new type of life we are gonna have mths later.
And the many many many changes that i went thru and am still going thru, oh, and will be going thru... physical changes are the most obvious ones. I think women are really long-suffering leh. In the past, there were no painkillers to aid childbirth and i really WONDER how they managed to do it! Give birth to (like) TEN children somemore wor! Oh gosh... Pei Fu! Pei Fu! Here i am, 1st tri, giddy and naeseous until i keep complaining MK tt i dont wanna be preggy anymore (haha how childish). Here i am complaining abt this and that... swollen face, swollen legs and feet, not being properly taken care of, no welfare and priviledges for me.... blah blah blah....
I shouldnt be complaining abt all these but...
I should thank God:
that He gave us a baby! SMILEZ Shine, SMILEZ! Children are gift from God and we really shld treasure them and thank God for them! :)
And thou my 1st tri was bad (I mean BAD), at least i dont need to be hospitalised.. I heard from some frens that they need to be hospitalised or bed-rested cos of complications. Wow... so i am really blessed le!
...That i am still very active as a preggy woman wor... i really walk and walk and walk and walk and walk fast too! I carried heavy things and still am fine! (ops... HEE). I engaged in many many activites and thou some days i dont feel ok, but overall i am still doing well.. I think i am one of the most activity-engaged preggy woman ard wor... do this, do that, IC of this, help out on that and i am loving it! hahaha...So, thank God, thank God! :)
Ministry:
Hm, received the latest update of another plan that my boss has in mind for me after i deliver.
Actually, this yr, the most changes that happened really is in the area of minstry. After E291 was gone, i have been going to different CGs to helpout. Quite a number of plans was set aside for me season to season.
Last evening's was the latest update. i was a little shocked when i heard it and to tell the truth, the 1st thing tt came to my mind was "Are you sure i can do it??" But i guess with the advance in age, we also 'advance' in the way we do things and how we do them. I told boss that i need to think abt it. He gave me 1 day.
Replied him just now and i said "I am fine with it. In fact, where you want me to go, i will go."
He replied "K".
So, i guess i wil prepare myself for the new challenge and trusting and relying on Him to guide me and help me on this! :)
In one year, from Ex-E291 to N119 to current W232 and then to..... _ _ _, i know my life is in God's hand, i know there is always a reason for all these that happen.
So i thank God:
and know that good things will happen to those who trust in Him!

Okok, this one sure obvious! 6.5 mth... finally... got ppl give up seat for me at MRT! yay!
Ops, realised that cos i was wearing BLACK dress... so its not very obvious too! hahah... AND, the baby is not ours (hor).. its one of my fren's.. beriii cute!! :P
Actually, by this time, if you look carefully, you will realised that my face is SWOLLEN. Boo... :( Cos due to water retention lor.... which is normal for most preggy ladies. My legs and feet too! need to buy shoes of a size bigger than pre-preggy days... Praying that after delivery, the water retention will go off (in Jesus' Name!) :)
Actually me at my final lap of preggy journey liaoz... (3rd Tri le)... I am excited, but yet unsure. Unsure of what will happen when baby comes, unsure of how me and MK shld handle her and how to nuture her, educate her in a Godly and correct way...
I will thus need to continue to pray for WISDOM so that, even if we arent the best parents ard, our gal can still say, she is proud of her Papa & Mama!
We will be proud of her too! *Kiss, kiss!*
God, help us... :)
