Heard this recently and thought that its really true.
"Many are called, few are chosen, but fewer remain faithful."
In the past, many yearn to be CGL, to serve Him and grow CG. It is just this simple dream that they have, that drives them.
Nowadays, ppl dont want to be a leader in the KOG anymore. Maybe commitments, maybe no faith, maybe stressful, maybe they dont think this will benefit them at all. Just hearing all these reasons can sadden me, let alone God.
Or maybe those called and chosen are no longer that faithful anymore.
An ex-cgl used to have so much faith and vision to do God's work. However this person isnt good at admin. So not long after being a cgl, this person came and tell me that he/she wants to step down. I was shocked and asked for reasons. Reason:" Not good at admin work."
This person stepped down in the end. I was quite sad by his/her action and decision. In my heart (then), i looked down on him/her. I also learnt sth : NEVER TAKE YOUR CALLING FOR GRANTED. Never. Its from God and how can you say that its becos of admin that you decide not to serve Him anymore? I couldnt understand at all.
Now, i have repented that i have once looked down on this person and no longer think this way, but this has since become a valuable lesson for me personally.
God didnt called you to be the Best Admin Person ever, He didnt call you becos of your admin talents, He called you becos he sees that willing heart. But where is this willing heart now?
So how many will remain faithful?
On a normal Church service and a normal CGM, can you still fervently praise and really w0rship the Lord, even tho you have had a hard day at work, in school, or are going thru a rough patch in your r/s with your frens, family or loved ones. When you are sick and not feeling well, how do you praise the Lord?Tat no matter what happened, you will still offer the sacrifice of praise and worship to God becos He is worthy.
Even after the limelights go off, after many hyped up activities and events(SOT, Emerge, AC, etc) pass you by, will you still be on fire for the Lord. Will you still be faithful and full of faith?
