QUOTE of the day

I decided to start a series of posts with the titles "________ of the day". It can be anything as long as its something from my heart, i will post. I promise that it wont be long post, unless needed. This "________" can be outfit, thought, quote, word, action and anything everything! I hope through my "________ of the day" you will be blessed and benefit from it, somehow.

I will start with QUOTE of the day. 

To revive this blog was never an easy decision. Why? Simply because i think i have failed enough to not want another failure. So it seems like there's no leeway to fail for reviving my blog. 

In the past, i have tried many new things, but to my wonder, they never take off. I wonder why. Have i not prayed enough? Have i not put in efforts enough? Or what?? So i came to a stage of frustrations especially when ideas for the blog keep coming to me, but yet i was hesitating to restart it. 

But, i am glad that i did. :) 

"Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try." 

If you dont try, you dont know. So i am glad that i decided to give it a try. And believe me, i am tryin my best to be committed to blogging as much as i can. I cant promise every day a new post, but am trying every week once at least. Do bear with me if there are any imperfections in my writing or photo posted, i am still very much a work-in-progress. :) 

So, are there things that you have been wanting to do? But somehow you lack that guts, that courage and even faith in yourself to do it. Be encouraged by this quote, that if you never decide to try, you will not reach that stage of accomplishments. So wear that coat of courage and do what you need/want to do.

OOTDs

If you haven noticed, it wont be hard to know that i love fashion. I do not count myself as any fashion expert or guru but i think i do have some fashion sense. :)

My fashion sense is basically very SIMPLE. Yes, literally SIMPLE. I am seldom seen in anything not simple like floral print, loud designs etc. Love it when its simple but yet it exhibits some form of classy and chic feel. :) 

Top & Skort: Both H&M, Necklace: from Taiwan, Bag: Celine. 

I frequent H&M a lot and thats bcos i have been receiving gift cards for my bdays for past 2 yrs and i totally enjoy it! Haha.. Why? Simply because i love H&M clothes! Wow, like entering into some competition by them. Lol... 

So i wanted to try this this casual top and formal skirt, and in order to save time, i decided to try them together. To my mini surprise, i realised that do match each other! The top though is a little casual but if pair with this skirt, it does balance out a little, making it less casual. Good for office wear and casual meet ups! 

I tried pairing it with a neon top and wore to office. People say they need shades before they can talk to me! Lol.. Oh well. 

Well this photo doesnt quitw do justice to the colour, but let me tell you, the real colour is really bright! Hmm i think i should have taper it off a little by wearing a darker colour necklace. Hm.. 

Anyway, another look for the casual top:

This photo cant really tell that i am wearing a skort actually. Apologies and i think maybe i should have a close up photo on the skort. My bad. 

Next up, 

Top & Shorts: Both from Bugis Village, necklace: from Taiwan, Arm accessories : Too long ago, cant recall where it was bought from, shoes: from Malaysia, Bag: Celine. 

I seldom wear this pair of short because to be honest, it looks nice and classy but the material is the pokey pokey kind, so it isnt that comfy. But i do love that classy chanel feel. As for the top, this is what i mean by simple outfit yet theres a tinge of classy and sexiness in it. In this case, both sleeves and waist area are see throughs, making the wearer give out a boring yet sexy feel. I like!

I had wanted to pair this black skirt with a formal white collared shirt. But aftr much thought through, i decided to go with a denim shirt instead. Why? Because if its black and white, its dull and boring. With blue and black, it helps a little visually. I decided to go with the all gold Victorian neck candy to ad tinge of life and colour to the whole outfit.

This is one of my fav in my photos here. I feel that somehow it makes me look slimmer. Heheh. Thats what we ladies want right. This outfit is comfy and effortlessly chic! 👍

And finally the last one:

Besides black colour, i also love stripes,  anything stripey attracts me. I wonder why, lol. For this outfit, the white skirt can be dull and boring if paired win another plain top. So i decided to go with this stripe top and together with a gold necklace to add colour to it. I think it would be better if the neckace is more colourful,  but bcos i only have a few necklace, so... Maybe i shall get more necklaces! Shopping time! Again. :)

Olivia Palermo

I am not sure why there arent many mentions about Olivia Palermo. If you were to ask me (and i'm glad you did), i would level her same as Audrey Hepburn. Both beautifully stylish.

Olivia, an American model socialite, who had been on cover for many magazines including Elle, Tatler, Marie Claire, etc. 

This is how she looks like. Classy isnt she. 

Lets look at some of her fashion styles: 

She brings black to another higher level. Literally, black on her never look boring, it becomes stylish. 

Such simple matching, yet she brings out that chic and stylish feel in her dressing. 

I love how she paired the polka dot top with the mermaid skirt. Just so 'apt'! Well, the only thing i dont really like is those electric blue shades, somehow i feel it doesnt quite match. Hm... 

I believe this was taken for one of her modelling shoots.  My heart palpitated when i first saw this! I dont know how to describe but i guess some things beautiful are just beyond words of description. :) 

The above 4 are taken from some of her daily lifestyle shots, and each of them just shows off that stylish and chic in her! I mean look at the last pic. Who would walk their dog dressed like this?? A typical Singaporean would walk our dog probably in T Shirts, shorts and slippers... But for her, its simply too chic! Oh and those toned legs. 

AND, did you see her Birkin paired with that denim top?? 😱😱 Birkin! I mean BIRKIN!! 💕💕💓

Anyways, a few more of her and her style: 

This last one is quite a bit of a mixture. Leopard print heels with floral pants and a feathered jacket. Hm, mix feelings... But i guess her decision to match them all with a plain Tan bag, did balance it out afterall. 👍

And in case you are wondering, yes, she has a steady boyfriend whom she is engaged to a few yrs back. And also in case you are wondering if he is handsome (to match up to her beauty), yes he is handsome.

This is the only picture i have of Johannes Huebl, whom i think is also a professional model. Handsome eh. :) And even a simple LBD, Olivia can wear the beauty out of it so easily! 👏👏

So, like what i said in the beginning of this post, i arent sure why she's not being mention often enough in my country, but i definitely love her, and her style! Simple yet classy and that's what i love. And i found such style in her.
